Back to School Deals 2026: The Last-Minute Voucher Codes Worth Grabbing

25 August 2026 · 2 min read

Uniform's the wrong size, the school bag's given up, and the calculator's vanished since June. Every September the same last-minute rush happens - and it's exactly when shops count on you not shopping around.

Stack a code with cashback, in the right order

A voucher code and a cashback site aren't either/or. The code lowers what you pay at checkout; cashback is then calculated on that final total, so you can usually claim both on the same order.

Order matters: click through the cashback link before you start shopping, then apply the code as normal at checkout. Cashback tracking depends on that first click - do it the other way round and the claim often won't register.

Where to check first

  • Argos - lunchboxes, backpacks and stationery bundles, with same-day click-and-collect if you're down to the wire.
  • Next - uniform basics (trousers, polos, PE kits) that don't sell out of common sizes as fast as the supermarkets' ranges.
  • WHSmith - worth checking against the actual school stationery list; they tend to stock the named brands schools ask for.

Check each store's current code on its DailyVouchers page before you buy - codes rotate often enough that it's worth a quick check even if you shopped there last week.

Don't skip the tech list

Calculators, headphones for online work, a basic laptop or tablet for older kids - these get bought at full price more than anything else, purely because parents are rushing. Currys is the easiest place to compare line by line, and it's worth checking whether last-generation or refurbished stock does the same job for less. Most school tech requirements aren't demanding.

Before you order, in the last 48 hours

  • Confirm what's actually needed on day one - uniform first, PE kit and tech usually have a week's grace.
  • Check click-and-collect cut-off times. Standard delivery may not arrive in time this close to term.
  • Keep receipts and order confirmations together - sizing exchanges are common in the first fortnight.

If it's too small, or too late

Most retailers above give a 28-30 day return window on unworn uniform, so there's no need to order multiple sizes "just in case." If something genuinely won't arrive before term starts, ringing customer service directly usually gets a faster answer than email at this point in the holidays.
